Named for the ancient standing stones scattered across the Scottish Highlands, Bloomstone is our collection dedicated to cool-toned eggs inspired by mist, stone, sky, and sea.
While many blue egg projects focus exclusively on bright robin's egg blues, our vision extends beyond blue alone. We are selectively breeding for a range of soft, cool-toned shell colors that resemble weathered slate, river stones, sea glass, and coastal fog.
The result is a basket that feels timeless and natural, with eggs that appear as though they were gathered from an ancient stone circle.

One of our primary goals is developing hens that produce the highly sought-after slate eggs with subtle green undertones, creating colors rarely found in traditional blue egg breeding programs.
These eggs often shift appearance depending on lighting, ranging from cool gray-blue to weathered green stone.

As the project develops, selection will focus on improving consistency of both shell color and flock quality while preserving the broad range of cool stone-inspired shades that make Bloomstone unique.
