HATCHING EGGS
There is something a little magical about placing a handful of eggs into an incubator and waiting for the first tiny peeps to emerge. Each egg holds the possibility of new life, carrying forward generations of careful breeding, selection, and stewardship.
On this page, you'll find information about our various hatching egg collections, the breeds and projects we are working on, expected egg colors, availability, shipping details, and tips for achieving the best hatch rates. Whether you're hoping to build a colorful egg basket, start a homestead flock, or simply experience the joy of hatching chicks with your family, we hope this journal serves as a helpful guide along the way.
Because hatching eggs are a natural product, every hatch is a little different and every chick is a surprise waiting to unfold. That unpredictability is part of the adventure and one of the reasons we love what we do.
If you choose to purchase hatching eggs from Clan Wallace Ranch, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below. While we take great care in collecting, storing, packing, and shipping our eggs, hatching eggs are fragile by nature and many factors that affect hatchability are beyond our control once they leave the ranch.
Hatching Egg Terms & Agreement
By purchasing hatching eggs from Clan Wallace Ranch, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Fertility and hatch rates cannot be guaranteed. Even under ideal conditions, hatch rates naturally vary.
Once eggs leave our care, we have no control over how they are handled during transit. Postal carriers, weather conditions, delays, rough handling, temperature fluctuations, and other shipping factors can negatively affect hatchability.
We carefully package every shipment to help protect the eggs, but we cannot guarantee that eggs will arrive without damage.
Due to the many variables involved with shipping and incubation, we do not offer refunds, replacements, or guarantees for eggs that arrive damaged, cracked, delayed, mishandled, or fail to hatch.
Incubation methods, incubator accuracy, humidity levels, turning schedules, storage conditions, and breeder experience all significantly affect hatch success. These factors are outside our control once the eggs have been delivered.
By purchasing shipped hatching eggs, you understand that you are assuming the risks associated with shipping and incubation.
We strive to provide fresh, carefully selected eggs from healthy breeding stock and will always do our best to ensure they arrive safely.
Thank you for understanding the realities of shipped hatching eggs and for supporting our small family ranch.
